Everyone wants things to happen!  Others wish they would happen!  Lodestar  make things happen!! World Events


There is no doubt that irrespective of gender there should be equal pay for doing the same job at the same level of competence with the same result - therein lies the problem!

It has always been suggested that women are often paid less than men and this has proved true in a lot of cases where the job  is clearly the same. This happens between the same sex too.  However, it is the method of comparison that is often suspect as there are so many factors that determine pay rates.

Skills, loyalty, performance, experience  are all major considerations in Implementing a fair , consistent and robust policy.

Publishing distorted figures only exacerbates the problem.
